Chez Jenny Paris

Chez Jenny Paris

L’hôtel du Nord et de l’Est suggests  to you

If you get tired of steak frites morning, noon and night, head over to République and enjoy the Alsatian version of steak frites, Sauerkraut! Well, not exactly sauerkraut, the French call it, Choucroute and it’s slightly different.

First off, it’s in France, so it tastes better. Secondly, it’s not on a reuben sandwich. Here, choucroute is prepared with sausage and potatoes. Next to steak frites, choucroute garnie à l’Alsacienne is positively light, but you should still arrive hungry as it is rather filling.

Also, if you have never had Flamenkuch, now’s the time to try it. Flamenkuch is an Alsatian tarte which consists of cheese, grilled onions and diced ham. It’s like an Alsatian pizza.

39, blvd du Temple, 3rd Arrondissement, Open everyday for lunch and dinner.
